Admission to K-Arts can feel intimidating due to the highly competitive selection process and complex application requirements.
But don’t worry!
With guidance from Lara Film School, anyone can secure admission to K-Arts' prestigious Film Department.
Understanding Competition Rates and Preparing Accordingly
The total admission quota is 45 students:
- 15 students are selected through the Special Admissions track in August.
- 30 students are selected through the General Admissions track in November.
However, in practice, only about 5–6 students are admitted through the Special Admissions track, with remaining slots filled through the General Admissions track.
For example:
- In August, the Special Admissions competition rate for applicants with exceptional foreign language proficiency is 6.89:1, and for candidates with video arts skills, it is 4.33:1.
- Actual acceptance rates may differ. In 2023, for instance, only 3 students were selected from 52 applicants for the foreign language proficiency track, resulting in a final competition rate of 17:1.homepage
